Puppy Training in Ottawa & Gatineau

Give your puppy the best possible start with a force-free, science-based program built around critical socialization windows.

From condo living in Hull to backyards in Kanata, we tailor your puppy plan to your real life on both sides of the river — in English or French.

Why puppyhood matters most

The first 16 weeks shape almost everything about your dog's adult behaviour. We use this window to build calm confidence around people, dogs, traffic, vets, kids, and the noises of city life.

Most clients start with an in-home puppy consultation in Ottawa or Gatineau, followed by a structured 4–6 week program with weekly homework you can actually fit into your week.

  • Critical socialization (3–16 weeks) done safely and correctly
  • Potty training and crate confidence
  • Bite inhibition and polite mouth manners
  • Loose-leash walking foundations
  • Sit, down, recall, settle and name response
  • Bilingual coaching (EN / FR) for your whole family

Puppy training FAQ

When should we start puppy training?

Ideally between 8 and 12 weeks. Waiting until 6 months means you're already undoing habits instead of building them.

Is this group classes or private?

Both options are available. Many Ottawa/Gatineau families start with a private in-home program and add a small group socialization class.

Do you offer training in French?

Yes — all programs are available in English and French (Canada).
